Now I would like tell about Server. Server mostly used in our activities and very helped us to save a large number of files. To make it clearly, this post i quote from Wikipedia


The server is a computer system that provides certain services in a computer network. Server is supported with processors that are scalable and large RAM, also equipped with a special operating system, called the network operating system or network operating system. Server is also running administrative software that controls access to networks and resources contained in it, like a file or display devices (printers), and provide access to a workstation network members.

Generally, the top server operating systems are applications that use the architecture of client / server. Examples of this application is a DHCP Server, Mail Server, HTTP Server, FTP Server, DNS Server and so on. Each server operating systems generally bundle of services or service can also be obtained from third parties. Each service will respond to requests from clients. For example, the DHCP client will give the request to the server running the DHCP server; when a client needs an IP address, the client will give the command / request to the server, the language understood by the DHCP server, the DHCP protocol itself.

Examples of server operating system is Windows NT 3.51, and continued with the Windows NT 4.0. We have a fairly popular system is Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003, and Sun Solaris, Unix, and GNU / Linux.

Server is usually connected to the client with UTP cable and a network card. This network card is usually a PCI or ISA card.

Servers so many functions, such as for Internet sites, science, or just data storage. But the most common is the client computer to connect to the Internet.
